Note Up — Privacy Policy

Note Up is a Chrome extension made by SEO Turtle that lets you draw on any web page. It does not collect, transmit, or sell any personal data. There are no analytics, no tracking, no remote code, and no account.

Preferences

The extension saves your interface preferences — selected tool, ink color, stroke width, vanish timing, spotlight options, presenter mode, and whether drawings are remembered — using Chrome's local storage API. These values stay on your device.

Drawings

Annotations exist only in the current tab. If you turn on the Pro "Remember drawings" option, your strokes are saved per page URL — on your device only, via Chrome's local storage. You can see and delete every saved page from the extension popup at any time. Nothing you draw is ever sent anywhere.

Exports

"Export page as PNG" captures the visible tab and saves the image straight to your Downloads folder. The image is created locally and is never uploaded.

Pro license

If you buy Note Up Pro, your license key (and an anonymous instance id) is sent to Lemon Squeezy — our payment and licensing provider — once at activation and occasionally afterwards to re-check that the key is still valid. That request contains no browsing data, no page content, and no personal information beyond the key itself. Payments are handled entirely by Lemon Squeezy under their own privacy policy; Note Up never sees your payment details.

Donations

The "Buy me a coffee" link opens a Stripe payment page in a new tab if you choose to click it. Any payment is handled entirely by Stripe under Stripe's own privacy policy; Note Up receives no information about it.

Changes to this policy

If Note Up's behaviour ever changes in a way that affects your data, this page and the "Last updated" date will change with it.
